What's a good fake tan?

Hey, I'm very pale skinned naturally &am looking for a good fake tan that doesn't smell strongly & is fairly fool proof - ie even an inexperienced idiot cld put it on without it streaking! I like the way dove/Johnsons do ones that build up gradually but they both smell. Available in UK please.
