Does my starting hook you at all?

its good but the only thing i dont like it Crack! I personally dont like using sounds in my book buut if u do thats fine, just saying my option. Maybe just explain, like 'i heard a screeching crack....' instead of just Crack! other then that loved the book! I wuld read it! :)
