Yes, they've gone mad. Remember the last time the Tories cut red tape. The meat-rendering plants persuaded John Gummer into allowing them to lower the process temperature and thus introduced BSE into the system. But that was a long time ago. Nobody cares about that disaster because there is always another coming along in a minute or two.
